Acclaimed photographer Tony King was born in Canada and held duel Canadian/American citizenship. He received a Bachelor's degree in French Literature and International Relations from Hamilton College and later studied at the Sorbonne in Paris. King cast his thoughtful eye on a wide range of subjects and places and created photographs with rare honesty and grace. Always inspired by the natural world, he spent his life telling stories in words and photographs. His images have illustrated numerous books, including, poetry collections and children’s stories. Acquisitions by the Boston Public Library, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and Dumbarton Oaks enhanced his resume of museum and private collections. Mr. King, who died May 2017, resided in Southborough, Massachusetts, and Kennebunkport, Maine. His art has been exhibited by Pucker Gallery since 1998.
