Virtual Event via Zoom hosted by Pucker Gallery
Artist Pat Keck, Scientist (and Pat’s brother) Bob Keck, Flutist Sooyun Coco Kim, and Gallery Owner Bernie Pucker gathered for an Artist Talk on Saturday, 28 November 2020. This event featured a studio tour and a musical performance inspired by Pat Keck's work as well as up-close videos of her sculptures and insight into her process, her inspiration, and her journey as an artist!
This event also hosted a competition! When Pat was nearing completion of her mixed-media construction Messengers, she set about collecting messages for it, mining for jokes, riddles, movie lines, song lyrics, and for quotes from how-to manuals, guidebooks, cookbooks, plays, poetry, and philosophy. For the competition, people crafted and submitted their own messages that could be added to the library of messages in Messengers. The person who submitted the MOST messages will have their messages permanently featured in Messengers, and will win a woodblock print created by Pat!
