Mallory Lake
Represented by Pucker Gallery since 1990
BORN: 1950 in Marlboro, Vermont
DIED: 2017 in Marlboro, Vermont
Although Mallory Lake lived in Vermont, the rolling hills, tall cypress trees, stucco buildings, and incomparable light of Tuscany were her true inspiration. After returning from one of her frequent sojourns to Europe, Lake would then use the photographs from her travels to bring her handsome and luxuriously textured pastels to life. Each of Lake’s pieces captures the dimension, shadows, spirit, and mood of its place. Her work has been the subject of various articles and exhibitions and is included in several New England and Canadian collections.
