Robert Eshoo attended Syracuse University in New York, and continued his studies at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Eshoo taught and exhibited in the New England area throughout his entire career. Some of his earlier works, watercolors in the trompe l'oeil tradition, examine the plight of the Sioux Indians. Later on in his career, his works were transformed by using found objects, including but not limited to: worn wooden shapes, faded colored paper, broken objects, and feathers. Eshoo’s work is characterized by a wonderful sense of composition, beauty, and sensitivity.
